Official Windows 7 SP1 ISO from Digital River



With the release of Windows 7 SP1, Microsoft has also updated the Windows 7 DVD media ISO image distributed by Digital River for online order fulfillment. Digital River is Microsoft’s partner for fulfillment on online distribution for downloadable Microsoft products.

The Windows 7 ISO images hosted on Digital River is genuine and official version, and the downloads from the server is legal. It’s after all one of the official channel where end-users who purchase a license (product key) for Windows 7 get the setup installation files.
The latest version of Windows 7 DVD image available is of media refresh version, which commonly known as Windows 7 SP1-U (Media Refresh). Microsoft released the media refresh version of Windows 7 DVD media to fix a rare bug related to invalid computer name when small set of computer names returned error when used to install Windows 7. Otherwise, the Windows 7 with SP1 and Windows 7 with SP1-U (Media Refresh) is completely the same.

Ubuntu 11.10 Oneric Ocelot Alpha 3 Quick Review


Ubuntu 11.10 Oneric Ocelot Alpha 3 was released few weeks ago. I decided to properly install Ubuntu 11.10 Oneric in my notebook along with Ping-Eee OS this time around instead of just experimenting it with a USB install. I have been using Ubuntu 11.10 Alpha 3 as my primary OS for almost 2 weeks now and this is how I feel about it. Read on.

Hide Any Drive Through Command Prompt


Have you ever thought of hiding any drive from your system so that no one can knew about it. You may have heard or even used a lot of software’s that might be able to do that, but if you are GEEK like me and want to do things by your own without using any 3rd party software than this tutorial will show you how you can do it.
Well there are 3 ways of doing it, in this tutorial we are covering command prompt way of doing it.

How to do it:

Step 1. Open command Prompt, go to Start Menu > All Programs >Accessories > Command prompt
Step 2. In the Command Prompt, type Diskpart and hit enter key. If UAC (User Account Control), dialog-box prompts than click Yes.
Step 3. Then type List Volume and press enter, this will produce the list of all drives.

How to get the new Gmail preview pane


If you enjoy the three-pane look of a desktop e-mail client, but use Gmail, today is your day. Google just announced a new Labs feature, Preview Pane, allowing you to view and reply to e-mails while navigating your inbox. The feature is also available to Google Apps users.
As Google mentions, the new look will be familiar to iPad owners, who currently enjoy this three-pane view on their devices.

To get the new look, go to Gmail > Mail Settings (upper right) > Labs. Scroll down to "Preview Pane," enable it, and save your changes.
